A community for creating handcrafted products made by disadvantaged or displaced communities. The Social Souk helps create meaningful livelihood that nurture families in the Middle East.
We are deeply inspired by the cultural and textile heritage of United Arab Emirates and try to promote the rich UAE textile heritage through our work, while making a social impact.
All our products lovingly handcrafted by women artisans from the countries in crisis use the ‘sadu’ weave – which is included by UNESCO in the list of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent safeguarding. This is our bit towards preserving and promoting the textile heritage of UAE.

Where do our products come from?
Our products are lovingly handmade by women artisans from refugee communities or disadvantaged backgrounds. Through Skills3’s sewing and vocational training programs, these women gain the skills and income they need to support themselves and their families.

Are the products eco-friendly?
Yes! We prioritise sustainable practices. Many of our items are made from repurposed or leftover materials, including offcuts from larger projects. Our Mend For Good initiative and zero-waste philosophy ensure minimal waste and maximum impact.
How does my purchase make a difference?
Every purchase supports vocational training programs for women in vulnerable communities. It enables us to continue offering skills-based education, generate income for artisans, and promote long-term social change — all through the lens of cultural craftsmanship.
How long does it take to fulfill an order?
For items in stock, fulfilment is usually 5-10 days. For custom or bulk orders, lead times range from 2 to 6 weeks depending on quantity, materials, and artisan availability.
Can I request custom or bulk orders?
Absolutely. We welcome custom corporate gifts, bulk event orders, and collaborative design projects. Please contact us directly for inquiries and we’ll work with you to create something meaningful and unique.
Do you host workshops or community events?
